Halo PC Tricking/Glitching: The Ghost Froom Trailer

Hello everyone.

This is a trailer for an upcoming video about one of the greatest tricks/glitches ever accomplished in Halo: Combat Evolved (PC), the Ghost Froom.  This trick is one of the most elaborate and complex tricks I have ever performed.  It took several months to create it.  If you have any questions about the trick please ask.  I'll do my best to respond without spoiling too much before the final video.

Please watch and enjoy the trailer, even if you are unfamiliar with Halo: Combat Evolved.  I worked very hard on it.  Feedback is appreciated.

Note: Asides from the use of flycam for detached-camera footage no third party programs, mods, trainers, or hacks were used in the creation of this trick.

I'm glad you liked the trailer.

I would have liked to have edited the post here with a revision I was making everywhere else which explains exactly what the trick is, as most people have had trouble grasping exactly what was happening in the video.

The revision is as follows:

"The trick involves a six step process which can take as long as five hours to perform (it's that difficult). The ultimate result of the trick is a Ghost floating in an invisible barrier 150 meters above the map."

What I've shown you have not already seen, unless someone who was with me while I was making it showed you.  I can understand how certain clips may look like they're similar to what you have done before in Halo PC, but I can assure you the final result, a Ghost floating in an invisible barrier 150 meters above the map, is not.  If you would like to argue this, I'd like to see some documented proof.  I hope you do not choose to take such a route.

Oh, well I wasn't going to argue with you. I've seen it before because I had a buddy named Arma who did nothing but stunt all day. He found out how to spin warthogs, shade turrets, ghosts, banshees, etc.

I don't have any proof, but I remember him wedging the ghost through the base and all through the map. He kept saying, "Either you help me do this, or I ban you forever." lol.

He wasn't apart of any clan and he never shared his stunts except for his immediate friends. Of course, I forget how to do it now. It's been too long since I've played.

I knew Arma.  I've been a friend of him for some time myself.

The stunt Arma was doing was called a "Shroom".  Ghost Shrooms were largely pioneered by him, Gil, and Cal in 2007.  The Ghost Froom does indeed involve a Ghost Shroom (though how I'm not going to say, that'd spoil the surprise!).  I actually showed Arma and Cal the Ghost Froom the first week I created it.  It was as new to them as it was new to me.

If you were to come online on Halo PC I could actually show you how this all works, or at least explain it a bit more.

I wanted to add: Though the Ghost Froom *involves* the Ghost Shroom, it is not the same as it.  There are four steps you have to do beyond a Ghost Shroom in order to create a Ghost Froom, it certainly is a different stunt.

I also knew Cal, and I think I have his Xfire, but I haven't spoken to him for the same time as Arma.
