Does anyone know how to record Halo 2 on Orig. Xbox? (without using a camquarter)

You need something called a "Capture Card". Basically what you did is plug in the component cables on from your xbox to the capture card, and then the capture card will be plugged into your computer. The capture card will probably come with software that lets you choose when and how you record what's coming from your xbox. You can then use whatever editing program you have to edit whatever clips of video you recorded.


On thing you should do is get AV splitters so that you can see what you're recording on your TV (so that you see more than a small screen which will tend to lag.)


If you want to go standard definition, I would suggest a Pinnacle "Dazzle" product from the top of this list


Further down that list is the Hauppage 1212, and that is what I would suggest for HD capture, but since you don't have a 360, stick the the Pinnacle Dazzle.
